Maho CNC 432

Anybody here have this kind of control?

I try to figure out how to do drip feed code with this control (DNC). I've not see any tape mode on the control.

Any help would be very appreciated.

I have three Maho's with 432 controls. What is the problem excactly. We use a Focal Point DNC and have had no problems. They just remote request the prog out of the DNC, get, then run it. I don't understand "drip feed".

 

Please let me know what you need.

If you have a very big file, what do you do?

Since we don't have a lot of space on the memory, I don't want to store this program on the memory. So I want to do DNC.

If you have a DNC already, check to make sure that the baud rates are set to a normal level. We only keep one prog in the machines at on time. Once the job is run we dump it back to the DNC. If the prog ends up being over 800 lines of code I use line numbers in increments of 5. You never want your last line number over 8000. Our baud rates are set to 9600, even parity, 7 data bits, and 2 stop bits.

Right now, I can store programs in the memory. So the communication is working well (same settings as you).

If you have a program that have something like 50000 lines, can we run the program from the computer and not from the control? This is normaly called "drip feed".

No, not to my knowledge. You need to break your program into multiple parts. Such as a tool change. The pain in the xxxx is that you need to reindicate your part every time!!!! This becomes cumbersome but to my knowledge that is how to do it.

Fred you need to see if they bought the optin for Drip feed this is an add-on for this control.

I don't think they have that option. It's a old 5 axis Maho cnc and I think this kind of control was bought by Heidenhain a couple of years ago.

There is no option to Drip Feed into this control. Fred I am assumeing it is one of the old olvie green beast of a Maho's , just like ours. I called or service guy, cause he is the only one that speacks good enough english for me to understand, and he told me that there is no drip feed, to break the program!
