  1. You guys rock! The G52 is what I needed. THANK YOU ALL! Pauly teh print this out and give to operator
  2. so the only way is to edit the geo and repost? that sux, thanks John. I appreciate the help.
  3. So is there a code that Haas will read that would act the way that I am thinking? Say i want to move a contour pass .005 in Y. In the Maho I would use G93 Y.005 and it would shift the Y value .005. Kinda like a cutter comp (G41) but it only effects one axis rather than 2 on a G41 because of the radius call. Am I pissin in the wind or is there some trick or code that I am missing.
  4. On my Maho mills if we need to adjust for something we simply put in a G93 x x.xx I am being told be the operators that you cant do that in a Haas. Is there a way to just "offset" a toolpath rather than having them find me, change the geo, and repost it? I have very limited knowledge of the Haas so any info would be greatly helpful. Thank you.
  5. Jean-Simon, it can be done almost the way that I wanted it to be done. Check your email! Mattera, once again you came thru, thank you!!!
  6. Ok, I got the swarf down, it roll mills using the side of the tool, works with a tapered endmill using the angle and is really an awesome tool path. Now how do i program a roll mill using the END FACE of the endmill. If you look at my cartoon, the leader is pointing to a 35deg angle that is cutting. I want my head ( to kick over to -35, come up and have X and A roll to create this clearance. Do I use Flowline? If so how do I get the toolpath to not look like a teeter-totter?
  7. As a good rule of thumb you should ALWAYS make backups, just in case. Pauly teh been there wish i would have done that..
  8. Are you using a single point tool or a multi-fluted multi-pitch thread mill?
  9. I have used these, all of them, and they are a great resource. Check it out. Tips for Manufacturing And this site is one of the best tools you will ever find.
  10. Same here I.C. it is fun to play with. I did the same thing you said, created individual ops so i could move them around and keep my B axis on the same plane as long as i could. You say it is restrictive, i agree, but its only restrictive to you figure out how to beat it. I am trying to do that now...lol
  11. Joey it is AWESOME, that is the only word I can think of right now. I just got my fingers on this stuff about 2 weeks, like you I was leary. I had Mike Mattera, my reseller come here and give me a 1 hour lesson, this stuff is awesome. Now I am using it, just trying to figure out the short cuts and work-arounds now. Very powerful tool that needs some work, but seriously fun to play with!
  12. For those of you using solid drill for a 5 axis I wanted to bounce some ideas off.. Lets say you have 6 hole, 3 in one Cplane and 3 in a different. You want to use a .250 spot to spot all 6 but a #43 drill for 3 and a #7 for the other. If you pick all 6 holes, it throws your B shift (Cplane shift) in multiple times, right? So what I did was select the first three holes at B0, output the spot and drill, then select the holes at B-20. then shuffle them together so it produces smooth consistant machine movement. Any body else playing with this awesome function in MC?
  13. Take care Rick, best of luck to you!

  21. Thats not stupid John, they are working?!?!?!?!? That makes it even stranger....
