Parasolid Ver 14

I need to read in a parasolid ver 14 file. What are my options? I have heard that Mastercam v9.1 will do this. Is 9.1 available yet? Chook for v9sp1 maybe?

Yes V9.1 has been released. Contact your reseller. Also there is a C-Hook available. Search the forum for "Solid Works 2003" and you should find the link in there.

I downloaded and installed the C-Hook from the FTP site. Still no luck. The instructions for the C-Hook refer to .X_B files. The file I am trying to convert is a .X_T file. Should the C-Hook work for this file? What is the difference between the two file types?

The sw2003 C-Hook you downloaded includes a program named P1413.EXE. This will convert a Parasolid 14 file to Parasolid 13. It's in the PS14 sub-folder. Use it like this:

 

PS14 ps14filename.x_t ps13filename.x_t

 

where 'ps14filename.x_t' is the name of the PS14 .X_T file you have and 'ps13filesname.x_t' is the name of the PS13 file it'll create.
