STL files

Whenever i create an STL file i only get 180 degrees of my part shape. The top looks fine but seems to just fall off from there in a verticle shape. Am i doing something wrong or is there a way to get 360 degrees of part shape instead of the 180 that i am getting ?

To the best of my knowledge this is another limitation of MasterCam. I too see this quite often. If you have another cad system (solid works) for example, try exporting an stl. from there. Often times it will render better in verify, but not always. Hopefully this is better in 9.1 ?

When I save a STL file,I use Write ASCII.

Traingle surface closeness defaults on mine to

.001

I accept this default.

Then when I open it up in "verify",it always

looks perfect.

When I tried to use Write file,it always looked like crap in verify.(I don't know why)

Hope this may help. wink.gif
