Hi Dave

This code is from a Camaix document and he taking about a file parameter ,i thinking i have to put in the post, but i dont see anything in the Mpmaster_3ax.pst(# Buffer 10 - Machine Simulation #machsim)you post.Maybe its only when you use a Camaix post !!!

----

For using the simulator we need to have ???

XML.File

STL.File

and the section of -[# Buffer 10 - Machine Simulation #machsim]i cut and past in the post

that it or i need anything else?

This is what is write in this document !!!!

In the parameter file are listed up the post processor driver parameter. They are very important for the functionality of 5AxVM. The parameter file needs to match with the definitions in the .xml file.

Parameter to be defined:

1. Spindle Direction

2. Axis Setup

3. Machine Type Setup

4. Setting distances between axis

5. Proper geometry setup for all machine components

6. Selection the machine tilting mode and tilting direction

7. Millturn

8. Metric/Inch

ETC......

Thank for your help and i hope you have some answer for me!!!

The CAMAIX post reads a '.par' file that I assume is created by the CAMAIX GUI post builder.

We are not using this technique. If you search our sample 3/4-Axis post for '#machsim' you will see the necessary postblocks and sections that are necessary to output the .SIM file that is used by the machine sim product. To set up a machine, you need STL files to represent members of the machine, and an XML file that describes how they are connected.

OK thanks

I have install X2 this monday and i dont see the file mcamx2/moduleworks/machsim ,did the new version use the same way for the simulator ?

C hook and machsim.dll !!!

and where he put the confiuration for the machine.

Maybe we have to install that like we do for X mr2 !!!
