"Do you have any suggestions as which to use or start with?"

As me and I say -> C#

And we have a crew a programmers that would answer with -> C++

You can create Mastercam NEThooks using anyone of them.

Note that if you wish/need to create CHooks (which are written in C++) you cannot do this with the Express Edition, as the MFC stuff is not included in the EE version.

Ahhhh,

Thanks a ton Fellas! I would love to get into learning this stuff, it makes me feel the same way I did when I saw my first CNC running code on a part....it's borderline obsessive(my wife's opinion), but with NC code it was very simple to see where to start, programming code not so much.

I grabbed the VB2008 express to get a feel for it.

I have a couple of decent VB video tutorials I am currently working my way through.

I also have some stuff for C# I will likely dig into at some point as well.

I'm sure I'll be popping in with some different questions on getting some things done

Hi John,

I've downloaded VB2008 Express recently.

My problem is that I can't manage to debug inside Mastercam. Having to compile and run each test is really time consuming.

I've tried to setup the debug page for the BoltCircle example as described in the readme file that comes with the solution.

Although my debug page doesn't have the radio buttons described.

Have you done this?

I guess I've just missed something.
