Has anyone had any experience with trying to export from 3dsmax to mastercam using 3dsmax export function? I am having a problem with exporting from max and geting the surface to export. It will send a the wireframe but no surface. If I use export .stl it shows up with frame and surface but nothing is editable. there are 0 entities in the file yet it is showing me the stl.. help

You should ask this question in main mastercam forum, you will get better response. In 3d max try to keep your model in NURBS rather than in mesh. That way you will be able to export in IGS format. Which mastercam can easily import. I never prefer STL in mastercam.
