C-Hook - Setting Planes

I am currently writing a C-Hook where I need to do things like naming a cplane, setting the tplane to the cplane location, and setting a cplane to a gview. Does anyone know what functions/variables I would need to use to do this? I've been looking through the documentation, but it's slow going. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you,

Thank you both! The info was helpful and I had never thought to look in the testassc.c sample file. It's exactly what I was looking for.
