Company just bought new Romi M27. Operator is going to program simple stuff, but I suggested that I would program the more complex parts in MasterCAM.

Does anyone control a Romi M27 with mastercam? Starting out with MPLFAN.pst and starting the edits. Not too familar with Fanuc's, currently have all OKUMA OSP here.

Can someoone post some sample code for rough turning? I am not sure what a G28 U0. W0.

Guess I will start some testing.

Thanks,

Greg.

Cap, I don't program lathes so I don't have samples, but if you put up questionable codes I can translate.

G28 is zero return thru a point. U0W0 is that point.

Uand W are incremental for X(U) and Z(W)

since it is going thru incremental zero, it goes straight to zero.

For obvious reasons, a G28 should always be done with incremental 0
