Cutter comp.

So I am new to mastercam and while doing an open pocket today I could not get cutter comp. to work. Computer, control,, and wear are all generating the same code. Tried program on a Robodrill and a Fadal with the same result. Also....why does control give me chamfered edges in verify and at the mache but Computer does not? Any help would be great.

What toolpath are you using? If you are using a dynamic path, they are for roughing only and won't give you comp.

Just using a open pocket. Should the lead in/lead out be on when using cutter comp? If I use peel mill will that do a finish pass?

Using lead in/out is the best since cutter comp will get turned on on the first lead segment. I think peel mill has a finish pass but I'm not sure if cutter comp works or not there and I am home now so I can't check.

Ohh, I just remembered, you need to be sure to use a finish pass - you won't get cutter comp on the rough cycle.
