Renishaw probe questionnaire

I have to fill out a questionnaire from Renishaw to retro-fit a Mori Seiki NH-4000 (2006 or 2007) Horizontal to use an MP700 probe. I don't know where to find some of the questions they are asking me. They are as follows:

 

G31 Skip Yes___ No___

G31 High Speed Skip Yes___ No___

G31 Multi-Skip Yes___ No___

Custom Macro: Yes___ No___

 

Connector Type/Pin location of skip signal____________

 

Any help would be appreciated.

MP700... I'd go withe newer OMP if I were you the MP700 will be discontinued in a couple years. The OMP has better strain gage technology, th ebody is smaller, all around a better unit.

 

You're going to need to look at your option list you got from Ellison to answer those questions.

Those are options for teh machine, nuthin in the machine books ?

May need to contact the folks that supplied the machine.

 

IIRC G31.1 is high speed skip option.

 

Different versions of the controller will or won't have em all.

If there is no measurement system on the machine now, Skip, High Speed Skip, etc... in liklihood ar enot on the machine. Ifyou have a tool length/breakage system on it, you then, at bare minmum have skip.

I found almost all the info on the Ellison sheet. It has the High Speed Skip function. I forgot to ask this one though:
