Router Table Usage

What is everyone using for/on their router tables when routing out thin (.035-.125) aluminum parts? We have been using particle board and sometimes double stick tape. We just had a visitor who said that he has seen some type of a rubber used that provided some stickyness to hold the parts rather than the double stick tape.

Thanks

Glenn

Heeler,

I have cut out some small items out of .0625 aluminum using MC Router. I used the tab feature in Router to keep the parts held to the larger sheet. I had the luxury to be able to screw the sheet of aluminum down to my MDF spoil board, then cut the tabs and used a grinder to get rid of the tabs. If you have Mill you can create the tabs manualy and make it a 3D contour.

Hope this helps. smile.gif
