16i fanuc High Speed Machining

Recommended Posts

We are doing some surface milling with our Twin Spindle vertical mill with a 16i fanuc control. We program a F20. and it slows to an F.3 in some areas...it never reaches the F20. We've tried a few G codes to enable in the book with no luck. I've gotten a few things from technical assistance from our seller with no success and it looks like I'll have to have a service call. Its been my experience its usually just changing a bit from 0 to a 1 in the parameters or visa versa. Any help would be appreciated.

Do a Forum Search for G5.1Q1

This issues has been addressed pretty extensively.

If you're doing DNC ovr RS-232... that may be all you'll get. Just depends on the moves.

If you don't have the option, theres not much you can do besides order the option. It's a little more involved than

just changing a bit from 0 to a 1 in the parameters or visa versa
. It hasn't been that easy for the better part of a decade,

I think he is asking what the parameter is to turn on HSM.

Not going to find that here.
