Verify Crashes

Hi All:

Need help !!

Verify keeps crashing or hanging up on me. I'll give some details.

It happens no matter if I use a solid as stock or a stl file as stock.

I also changed the Tool tolerance & STL tolerances in verify, speed and quality.

Filtered tool paths.

It will run part way thru stop and hang up or sometimes creates what looks like a hole in the stock.

See attached files

It will run thru if I uncheck Use TrueSolid.

But I would like to create some stl files for using in Rest Mill operations (which require a stl file)

Also you can not move the part in verify when Use TrueSolid is unchecked.

I'm using MasterCam X4 MU3( I also ran it in X5 MU1 same thing happens) on a Dell Precision T5500 3G RAM windows XP Professional ,32 bit ,with a Nvida Quadro FX 580 Video card (512MB)

Should I upgrade the Video Card? Or add more Ram or upgrade the computer in any other way?

Any Suggestions on what Video card to install? Or anything that would help solve this problem.

We do 5 axis work and use the Surface High Speed and Multiaxis toolpaths alot.

Thanks,

Tom

This has been covered a lot lately.

First thing, try loosening your verify tolerances.

I generally run tool of .003 and stl of .002

It gets thru most but not all. I'll try loosening first

Also, have you installed the latest driver from Nvidia.com?

Like JP says, try this link to a recent topic on this issue. It also has a link in it to another recent topic that I started. I used some pointers from the other helpful guys in here and got it to work enough to get done what i needed. JP's correct, but reading through these posts might help you understand it a little bit.
