Good tooling sales and support

I am not having alot of luck finding good sales/support on tooling for hard mill apps. I have a small set up and small amount of hardened die work, and don't seem to get the same service as the "big order guys". Currently using YG1 x5070, hitachi TH series, and Niagra MBZ. Availability and service have been crap and , like many of you guys, I don't have the time to chase down my tooling......

Sooooo, with that being said I am in metro Detroit area , anyone have some good sales/support recommendations ? Please? please?

 

It doesn't have to be those manufacturers...but quality tooling is a must. I can get the Hanita and OSG locally, but really trying to keep cost down....

Look at HTC they are in Clinton Township.

Their Hot Mills are just as good as Hanita Varimills, and cheaper.

Lakeshore Carbide is another good site, but they are out of state.. .great prices though.

Yup. I use HTC for tool steels pre heat treated stuff and like em alot, but i'm cutting 55-60 Rc and the Hot Mills don't hold up to that like the YG1's, etc. I will check out lakeshore. Have you used the lakeshore nACo coated for hard mill apps?

I have not.

We don't do much hardmilling at all.
