Thank you, its installed and working. So I go to customize on the toolbar, drag my icon I created plus another (from mastercamx5)they both work.

Then I save the toolbar, but when I close and re-open mastercam the one I created is gone and the one from mastercam I chose is still there.

Can't say that I've heard this one -> the one I created is gone

Try this:

Start Mastercam and drag your icon to a new toolbar (all by itself)

Does clicking this icon cause your Script to be run?

Do NOT do any toolbar saves and restart Mastercam

Is it still there?

If not, I would have to see your files in order to investigate...

1> The .VBS script

2> The .DLL that ScriptLinker created.

3> The .FT file that ScriptLinker created.

Zip 'em up and mail then to -> SDK <AT> mastercam <DOT> com

ScriptLinker has been around for years.

I just installed it on X5-MU1 and tested it using the example VBS and BMP files included in the ZIP and works fine.

Here is the top of the FT file that ScriptLinker created ->

#------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# NETHook function table
#
# Auto generated by 'Script Linker' v14.0.2.5 for Mastercam X5
# [ 8/25/2011 8:55:52 AM ]
#
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#
# Name : askColor.FT
# NETHook : askColor.DLL
# VBScript : askColor.VBS
#
# Notes : This FT file MUST be located in the '<mcamX5>\chooks' folder.
# The askColor.VBS file MUST be located in the VB Scripts folder
# specified in Mastercam's Configuration.
#
... <snipped> ...

So the tool icon is there, but when you click on it nothing happens?

If so, verify that your VBS files is in the proper folder.

It must be in the folder that is set in Mastercam's Config for ".VBS" files.

This is usually -> C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared mcamx5\vb

If you still cannot get it to work...

In order for me to investigate , you'll need to ->

Zip up all the files and mail them to me -> SDK <AT> mastercam <DOT> com

I'll need Your VBS and the DLL & FT files that ScriptLinker created.
