Control def not sticking X5 MU1

So I complain alot about settings not sticking in config that are also set in my control.def

 

So lately i have been having this problem occur more then usual and in-house support fixed this by updating/importing

these from my X4 instal. last week

 

So I reboot my machine because I am constantly restarting because dirty rest paths wont

regenerate and restarting mc stopped fixing that issue

 

I go to open a file and the the nc path did not stick, so instead of changing it again in

the config I thought I would check my control def in the machine def.

I go through and save at each stage and get this

Does any one have these issue?

 

And is there a fix to make this stuff stick?

Yup. once yesterday, once today......didnbt get the axis warning, but went to post and got INVALID FILE NAME under active post. At first I thought it was just from not updating the machine def from X5 data to X6. But even after doing that it has happened on just X6 files...

Did you check under files in ops. man. to make sure you had the corect machine def. selected for X6 ? Here's what I get when i dont update a file from X5.......

Sled, i should have stated these are X5 issues......

Well, i am lucky I found a backup of my control def and .mmd from shortly after

I instal X5 Mu1 and replaced the ones in my p.c. at home.

 

Everything works great with no errors.

I'll swap them at work and keep them handy for the next time they go sour.

 

What a relief, running light out was starting to worry me.

Did it work ? Hard to run lights out without 110% confidence

Worked just fine.

 

14 hr program 14 tools

many in long reach er-16 holders that the holder has about 1/16 clearence

to the side walls of cavity
