Has anyone changed the text User Def 1 or User Def 2 in the material library? I want to change it to something my programmers will be able to easily choose instead of refering to a file that list them...

 

Where does Mastercam store the values used here? I exported the default library and none of the settings (Percentages) are saved in the export?

 

 

FYI: Be carefull to never use the CANCEL icon to leave the editor... It will delete that material from the open library.

Sorry this doesn't answer the question, but since you raised the topic on the CANCEL icon:

material manager / material library / material list

The mastercam folks must want to phase out the use of 6061 aluminum. Don't double click on it; whether you then click on CANCEL or ACCEPT , it deletes 6061 from the list. Dare we call this material delete a bug ? I'd be happier if there were an issue that would remove all instances of METRIC from its files :thumbsup:
