Active Report 3d depth

How can I have the depth of 3d operation like waterline on my active report ??

There should be a MIN-Z field defined under Operation. I use it in mine all the time. If you Haven't already, check out the setup sheet XML outline and tag glossary in the mastercam help file, It is a good outline of the XML structure.

Last I checked it would NOT display 3d toolpath cut depths. Total pain in the neck because THOSE toolpaths are what you really need tool stickout info.

Chris, I've attached a segment of my setup sheet which has the max Z depth shown...Are you referring to depth of cut or maximum cutting depth?

 

To achieve my results, set your recordset to //OPERATION and your datafield is MIN-Z...Guaranteed this DOES work. I can try and provide more info if you are still stuck.

Note that there is a Depth section under Both the tool and the Operation subreports

Not in front of my pc till later, but yes it works for 2d stuff...but the 3d stuff now?

The "depth" tag only works for 2D, but the "min-z" will work for all. That path in my image was a Surface High Speed waterline finishing toolpath. I've only been using activereports since X5, so maybe it was different prior to that?

It doesn't work it gives the origin and the depth of the tool not the depth with wcs

That sounds correct,

 

I do most of my 3d toolpaths from the TOP plane with standdard WCS so it gives me what I want in that scenario, but with Rotated planes for me i think it gives the minimum z position relative to the top plane
