Confused about 'Home Position' on Toolpath Parameters Tab

I'm working on a part where I need to avoid a tall fixture at the beginning and end of each toolpath and send the table all the way to the right for tool changes. I used approach and retract Reference Points for the avoidance and that works fine. I tried to use 'Home Position' on the toolpath parameters tab to take care of the tool change positioning, but it doesn't seem to work at all. The toolpaths look fine in backplot, but the only posted G after the retract reference point is G91 G28 Z0. followed by G28 X0. Y0. This obviously doesn't give me the X move that I need. Do I have to manually edit the posted code or am I missing something? I'm working on a Haas VMC.
