Is there a way to make a post output only R's no I,J's?

Recommended Posts

Darin,

If you go to your control definition and to the "arcs" page, and change your arc center type to "radius" this should output only R values

Great thanks Uncle Dolan... Would you happen to know how to change all the canned cycles to a positive Z in the post? Or maybe in control or machine def? I want to be able to put a negative Z in mastercam so the verify works but I need it to post a positive z in the code... It is for a old Bridgeport 308 machine that is the way the canned cycles work...

Thanks

Sorry Darin, Im not familiar with doing what you want to do. Can you change the values in mastercam after it is verified? Maybe someone else is more insightful than i am! Glad I could help with your first problem though!

No problem thanks again... Ya maybe I will turn off the canned cycles in the control def and just use long hand code.. Or do like you said.. The Bridgeport 308 is a weird machine

Darin,

Not sure if it is one that is included in the X6 installation, but you could look for a TORQCUT post which would be for a Bridgeport control and should output your canned cycles with z+ values.
