MX8 drilling plunge rate and retract are shaded out

 Morning guys,

On my drilling tool page I can't change the plunge or retract rate, it's shaded out? Even if I go edit the drill and change, it stays as it was with no change. If I delete cycle and make a new drill and insert it a new cycle  it will change?

Is there some setting to un shade the plunge and retract?

Thanks

These options are disabled in the Toolpath Parameters dialog, on purpose, for the Drill Cycles. This is because most users are setup to use Canned Cycles for Drilling, and these cycles retract at either rapid (for most) or feed (for fine boring cycle). So you only need Feed (G81..............F20.) and Rapid (G0).

What are you trying to use the Plunge and Retract values for?

Your options here are basically to use the "Custom Drill Parameters" for the cycles to pass data to the post processor. By editing the post, you can use the data that you feed the custom cycles to do anything. I've seen people take the Custom Drill Cycles and set them up to do all kinds of probing routines. The sky is really the limit, provided you know how to edit posts.
