Bad Approach/Retract w/inverse time

I've been dealing with a post that kicks out bad approach and retact values in 5 axis mode, I.E. On Curve5ax the approach value comes from the feed vaiable and the very next move uses the plunge variable, Or the first move will be a G93 with a feed of .176 (way slow) and the last move a retract is of the simalar value. I've called the post guru's in Indiana (Cadcam technologies) they said it was a mastercam issue and not the post ( some sort of dll). Does anyone out there have simalar experience? The machine controller is an Acramatic 950!

couple of things:

 

The way the cutflags are output into the nci for entry exit may effect older posts.

 

If the entry/exit are not 5axis simultaneous moves you can stay in ipm instead of inv

What version mastercam are you using? I have had similar problems with version 9. Version 9.1 takes care of the problem.

Jesse: I'm using version 8.1.1. I don't have the new software. I'll have to see if I can get a demo copy and try it.

I would be willing to bet that is your problem.
