Hello,

 

How do I change the default machine to Fadal  mill? I was able to get everything else right but this keeps changing to Fanuc mill.

I have done that, But when I check in the tool bar it still has Fanuc machine listed in the box. It seems that If I don't change it there the transfer will error out.

The toolbar button allows access to the NC Configuration manager to create, delete or modify NC configurations. It does not select the active configuration used in an open NC document.

The active NC configuration in any NC document can be selected in the right click context menu:

 

The default setting (image in previous reply) selects the default NC configuration used when a new NC file is created.

 

I cannot think of any reason why selecting an NC configuration via the toolbar would have any effect on communications, all Code Expert does is to pass on command line arguments for communication to the communication software selected in Mastercam System Configuration.

So I am guessing the customer here is trying to relieve code for the machine and no go. am I correct as you are using the Code Expert for the editor and it uses our Cimco communications after that. is this were you are having issues?
