Toolpaths -> Stock Model ...

good morning to everyone,

 

so I am machining a complex part and I came across the toolpath option stock model under the toolpaths tab. I put it to use right away but theres one thing that keeps bugging me, how do I turn off the stock model so it wont appear on my screen? its not under stock set up on the operations tree it has to be under the toolpaths->stock model options but I just cant figure it out. please help!!

Hit the toolpath button in ops manager. The lil squiggly line that turns toolpath lines on and off

quick question JMahon, do you use this option of stock model? and if you in what type of jobs do you recommend or in what situations do you think will be the best time to use it?

I use stock model on all kinds of jobs as it can be ued to see were the part is in the stages . it can be used to verify or a good one is to machine against.

yea I agree, I was machining a large stretch die and the rest of the programmers have toolpaths that have A LOT of cutting air time, so I decided to play with this option and it really helps cut down the cutting air time.

When using surface restmill operations, you can use it for "rest material" as "one operation".
