PIVOT DISTANCE

Part I.

I just want to make sure I am getting this right.

The collet sits flush with the spindle head. I'm working on a Motionmaster SB-55 XT with a F.A.G.O.R. 8055m.

Additionally, I'm told by DMS that recently serviced our part, that I need to put that number;

pivot distance is set under Main Menu, Tables, Tool Off sets, and It will be the K value. The primary should be a positive number and the secondary under tool 2 will be a negative number.

The number in the machine was K 6.95590, and the machine seems to be running the exact same.[new number being 7.3825]

Can one of you lovely souls verify that this is correct?
The operator just pushes the start button, so tool length is not set by them.[that I am aware of]

Part II.

I'm also having an issue whereas one post works like a dream, the second post seems to be offset  X.5000
I use a mockup of the table to set everything up, and that model doesn't move at all in relation to the WCS/Origin.

That looks right, it's the number i get. Only thing i do different is, i take it 3 time and use the average.

I did it 5 times, and jogged home after each time. The average being 7.38247 so I rounded up for the machines 'K' value[only accepted 4 decimal places]

I'm unable to find on the F.A.G.O.R. manual if that value should actually be placed on the tool offset page.
