Icons mcx-5

we are running 4 seats of mastercam.  2 seats are mcx-8, and will shortly be upgraded to mcx 2017. 2 seats are mcx-5 and will be staying that way, for the forseable future, as this is the workers choice.  Now to my problem. In mcx-5 the operators would both like the solids icons moved from the left side, up to the top bar. We can do this by hand everytime we open mastercam, but surely there is a way of getting this to stick. Everytime we open Mcx-5 the solids choice is back on the left hand side. I have tried changing the config file, and the mtm file , but wont stick..

Tell them it can't be done and they have to move forward for the option...

would love to, but they were running it last month with the solids icons at the top..
