Import operation from file

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have a existing Mastercam X9 file with operations and I would like to copy some operations to a new file.

I try to call the Mastercam.Operations.OperationsManager.ImportOperation(<filepaht>, <ID>); function but I don´t know the operation ID.

How can I get the ID? Can I open the mcx-9 file with a DB browser?

"Display Options" is what you want.

Load the MCX-9 file with your toolpaths.

Right-click on the Toolpath Manager pane to display up the pop-up menu.

Select "Display Options..."

Check the "Internal operation ID" option.

Now in the tree you'll have #:# numbering shown for each operation.

The 2nd number is the "internal ID".

Thank you Mr. Martin. The Internal operation ID option was exactly what I am looking for.

@Roger Peterson: Mastercam.Operations.OperationsManager.ImportOperation(<filepaht>, <ID>); function can open the database of other mastercam files even in a NETHook. I tried it and it works.

Thank you guys for your help
