PNEUMATIC/HYDRAULIC VISE RECOMMENDATIONS

Hello,

We machine plastic and I am looking for a low pressure vise for our HAAS MIll.

We have a few jobs that I am using a torque wrench set very low (5 lbs) to clamp very small plastic parts in a KURT vise.  Works fine for me but some of the operators are having a difficult time feeling the CLICK and over clamping the part.

Was just seeing if anyone else out there has any experience or could recommend a pneumatic or hydraulic vise that would work at very low pressure.

many years ago we used kurt hydrolic vises. cannot remember if clamping force could be dialed down to what your looking for but would surely check with them, very nice product.

I use a measuring type torque wrench (called a "beam" type).  I have one that goes to 100 inch pounds and another that goes to 1000, I'm sure they come in other ranges.  With them it's easy to see how much torque you're applying, and to apply different amounts for different jobs with the same wrench.
