Helix problem

I'm having a problem with using helix with a ball nose tool in surface, rough, pocket. If I use an endmill, helix works fine, if I switch to a ball and regen, I loose the helix.

I have traded a file with a guy in the office, and if he creates the cutterpath it works, and when I read it in the helix is there, but if I regen, I loose the helix also.

Any ideas what I have set wrong on my system?

I forgot to mention I was using V8.0 still. Installed V8.1 and updated to 8.1.1, and all is well.

Entry problems with either ramp or helix are a known bug in V8. There is a patch on this site to fix it if people are still using V8.

some times you need to lower the size of the helix dia that will help.
