Importing Autocad Produced DWG File

Yes, IDK what is going on here but I had a similar issue.  If you download the free Draftsight (by Dassault, Solidworks) you can open it, re-save it and be good to go.  Draftsight is free and actually really decent software.  My problem was dwg created in the latest Solid Edge and Mcam would not open it.  I basically had to save it down a verson in DS.  It's worth a try.

I'll give it a try. Thanks for responding. I can pull in Dwg files created by other apps, but Mcam does not seem to like Autocad files. Which is kind of surprising - I would have thought they would be among the most compatible. Maybe someone else might have more insight as to why. Thanks again for your help.
