Problem with toolpath associativity to a solid model

I updated a solid model today which I created in V8 several weeks ago. The model updated fine. And when I opened up the operations manager I found the surface toolpaths needed regenerating. Great, I thought, this associativity thing is going to work out good. So I did a regen on the surface toolpaths without re-picking any geometry and posted the file.

When I ran the nc code through our verifying software I found that the toolpaths did not update with the model. It was machined to the original model.

So back to mastercam I go to re-pick the geometry for the surface toolpaths. However when I try to pick on the solid model for the new drive surfaces it is not being highlighted as is normal.

So my questions: Is associativity limited to wireframe and surfaces? Am I doing something wrong in my process?

If you make any changes to the solid, you have to go to the solids manager,

and then drag the toolpath down below the new changes, and then return to the operations manager, and regenerate the toolpath.
