  1. Sounds good. smile.gif

How did you convert those srfs in MC to Solid?

By the way is it ver13(Parasolid)? I imported the X_T into SW 2001 sp11 and it detected 5 srfs and was not able to knit them together.

    Thanks,

    KWOLF

  2. Indeed I really exprienced such a problem with solidworks files. Even some surfaces were lost. I export the model from SW to VDA and import it to MC.

    SW 2001 Sp 7 or 9

    MC 8.11

    Thanks,

    KWOLF

  3. Hi Monica,

I think it's a parasolid file that was converted by MC. I had a problem like that before.

Please check all the surfaces of your model to verify that it was converted correct.

It's a good practice to convert your model from vda to MC. And in my opinion, trimmed srfs are better manipulated in MC.

  4. When I get the file "OPTIMIZE CUTTER COMP IN CONTROL-MM.MC8" in mc sample file dir, it has one op . After a regen the toolpath does not look the same. why?

Was the op edited with toolpath editor and left unlocked?

It's the same in ver 8, 8.1, and again in 8.11.

  5. Thanks Glenn,

I've added * before with no success.

I increased the number of digits after floating point to 6 (with fmt command) and it worked.

It seems that I must program so that if a point doesn't differ from the last point in a given tol (say 1E-3 or 1E-4)then the tol decrease to (1E-6), and the two coordinates become distinguishable.

However there are some other issue in the post which I must correct or change to accomodate with Deckel Dialog 11 like:

How can I change the post to create a contour2d subprogram . I don't want to repeat a contour in every level .

  6. We have an old deckel dialog 11 controller in our shop and want

to accomodate MC with our controller.

We've modified the GENERIC MPDIA11B several times .

But some times the post processor output an arc that's too short

and hence omit one coordinate (X|Y|Z even I|j|k).

We changed the arccheck=1,2,3 and modify ltol and atol values and even

forced the coordinate to have 5 digits after floating point, but the

    problem still persists.

Does anyone have a remedy for this?

And please exactly clarify the atol and ltol behaviour.

Also how could I upload the modified post processor?
