  1. Does anyone know how to import a japanese font into mastercam so that I can do some engraving. Thanks Daryle
  2. Good Morning, It ended up being that since I have had mastercam for so long the post I had was preety old and really needed to be updated. I updated the post and Ajmer from In House walked me through making sure the correct lines were active. It works but it still needs some post help. It drills one hole then retracts, stops the spindle, indexes and restarts all over again. I needed to get the job done but it needs some work. The post also didnt output a M160 line at the end of the program and my horizontal needs it. Thanks for the help. Daryle
  3. Hey Cadcam, Was that supposed to be some sort of joke? If it was I dont get it. I use this forum to help me make my business more efficent, same reason I bought Mastercam in the first place. If you know how to help me out great I would really appreciate it. Typing fast sometimes equals spelling mistakes. Here is what the post code looks like: N100 G20 N102 G0 G17 G40 G49 G80 G90 ( T93 .750CARBIDE LONG CUT END MILL D93 H93 DIA=.75 ) N104 T93 M6 N106 M11 N108 G0 G90 G54 X0. Y0. A-90. B0 S8500 M3 N110 M10 N112 G43 H93 Z2. T93 M8 N114 G8 P0 N116 Z4.5 N118 G99 G81 Z3.5 R4.5 F100. N120 G80 N122 G55 X0. Y0. Z2. A-120. N124 Z4.5 N126 G99 G81 Z3.5 R4.5 F100. N128 G80 N130 G56 X0. Y0. Z2. A-150. N132 Z4.5 etc. Maybe it will work just wanted to make sure. Daryle
  4. I have a Mori Seiki nh4000 with a 6 pallet cell. The post was modified when we purchased this machine from our old Takumi Seiki machines. Have never had a problem before and I'm sure it is a simply fix once we find where to fix it. Daryle
  5. Here is the post error I am seeing. "Only single-axis rotation is allowed! Angles may be incorrect. - OP_ID 33 I was rotating in Mastercam correctly I think. I looks perfect in the verifier. Daryle
  6. It works fine in the Mastercam. I did use the front tool plane but the code comes out with a BO move then lists a bunch of A moves without unclamping and reclamping the B axis. We have a full fourth so manybe it doesnt have to reclamp. They must be a switch in the post that is not turned on or something. Daryle
  7. Thanks, That works but now my post is giving me an issue. It is outputing everything as a A move instead of a B rotation move. Any suggestions. Daryle
  8. I'm sure this is very simple but I cant seem to get it to work right. I'm simply trying to get the machine to drill a hole then index 15 deg and redrill a hole and do this all the way around a part. This is on a Mori horizontal. Any quick suggestions. Daryle
  9. Is there a way to export the verify screen to watch it run on video? I want to be able to have it running at a trade show. Daryle
  10. Hello, I have a Mori NH4000 and have started to run some really big programs. They run out of the data server fine but I keep getting an alarm when I try to run with the look ahead on. After to m10 line I've got G332 R2.0 then the next line is G5.1 Q1. That should turn it on but I keep getting a improper G code alarm. It works fine with the G8P1 on but it takes alot longer to run the program. Any suggestions. Thanks Daryle
  11. I dont think that it means he wants to cheat. If you bring a new employee on to take over the work for you but you cant afford to stop working while your training him why should you have to buy anouther seat? Why not just call and find out if you can get a trial version that he can use but not post with. Then the shop can still make money while the new guy is getting trained. Software is not cheap and alot of shops cannot afford a second seat just to train on. My two cents. Kodiak
  12. Hello, Is there a easy way to set up Mastercam to be able to create probing routines to check for size. Hand writing everything is very time consuming. Any help would be great. Take care. Daryle
  13. Hi again, Very weird, I just resaved the program and tried it again and now it works like normal. I'm not sure what would cause it to do that. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. Daryle
  14. Hello, I have the stage tools set at "1" but for some reason my mastercam just started to put either a 0 or 9999 as the next tool. Anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing this. Thanks Daryle
  15. Hi, The run time on our parts is fairly long and the parts are quite big. I can only fit one per face and on some of the jobs I can only use two faces because of the swing diameter. The tools that are the most likely to have a problem have back ups and we plan to have the tool detection simply change the tool and turn to the next face. We will end up probing only a few features on each part. Mainly to make sure we are on size. We have alot of customer programs and we dont want to have to reprogram all of them, that is why we will probably settle on one master program and label each face of the tombstones with its own offset, G54.1, G54.2 etc and then simply enter the program number in the macro and it will run it on that face. Any new programs we will do the new way. It is an awesome machine and will take some time to get use to. We have the 6 pallet CPP system so we dont have to use a cell controller. Thanks for the info and help. Daryle
  16. If I did move the part to the front plane how do I rotate it about anouther plane? Thanks Daryle
  17. Hi John, Well all of my current programs were done from the top plane. So would I just rotate about the side or frot plane? Daryle
  18. Thanks for the input. We do have probing and will be using tool life management as you suggested. We plan on fixturing so that we can run 12 hours at night and then check everypart with the probe. We have tool breakage as well and check each tool after each op. Currentlly all of our programs for the verticals we had work fine. We just have to change the B axis offset and then cycle start. there must be a way to do this through mastercam without having to reprogram every job. We have over 1000 different parts that come from the same blank. Thats alot of reprogramming. We have considered just running one master cutting program and having the machine look to a macro to see what job to run. We would then just add the program number and let it run. Maybe that would be easier. John, I tried to rotate it but I must not be using the WCS right because it just rotates on the same axis. Do I have to set a new origin point and rotate around that? Thanks for the help. Daryle
  19. Hi, I've just bit the bullet and got a new nh4000 with a 6 pallet cell. Most of the work we do is the same part over and over with a few minor adjustments. the parts are cut from the same blank. Is there a way to tell mastercam to do the same job on 1 face or two faces or three faces etc. I would like to be able to program off the top of the part and simply rerun the program at 90,180,270 etc. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks Daryle

    Tool precalls

Thanks, Worked fine. Can you help me out with feedrate decimal format. Is it in the screen config or the post. When I output a tapping sequence it only outputs a whole number. IE 38. not 38.46 etc. Thanks Daryle
  21. Hi, Is there a setting in Mastercam that will automatically precall the next tool so that it is ready? Thanks Daryle
  22. Hello, I will talk to them as well. I am a registered user and have had mastercam for a long time. My question was really put out there to try to find other people with Komo routers so that I can have the post built properly. Our machine has 6 spindles on it and there may be someone else out there that has some input on how it should work with Mastercam. No help from the forum, no problem. I will see if the reseller can sort it out.
  23. Hello, Just recieved a new toy and I'm looking for a post. Any suggestions. The Komo rep said that there may be other Komo users that use mastercam and that may be the best place to look. Daryle
  24. Ok, I come in this morning and turn on MC and go to get a file and all of the little yellow folders are gone and instead all of the file names are in plain print in a row. I didnt change anything other than download Cimco. I tried uninstalling it but no help. Any ideas? Kodiak
  25. Well I'm trying to learn the new system as fast as possible but one thing is driving me crazy. When you are over the operations manager area the icons light up and as soon as you go back to the blue screen they fade to grey. since I'm moving back and forth alot the thing is flashing. Any way to turn that off and have it stay on. Anouther question I have is with the operation manager. You cannot see the whole list becasue there is not enough room. Is there anyway to make the lettering smaller or can you undock it and move it to the top of the screen. I hope you understand what I mean. In windows you have a classic view and a newer view, is there anything like that in the new X version. To bad you cant get the new functionality but with a more classic screen view. It would help in learning the new system. Kodiak
