OK, I'll have to stick with the Agies, I have 3 classics and a Progress less than 1 weeek old with the new V generator. Agie sent me to Losone Switzerland in May and the generator is amazing. Also, the agivision now runs on XP and is more user friendly the version 4 . These machines are second to none, I have run mits and sodick and will always prefer agie. As far as MC goes they have improved over the past 5 years with the agievision control, I learned MC and the agievision in about 8 hours, parts had to get out the door the were no if's, ands, or buts. I had the agie apps w/me and we had it going out of the box. There multiaxis has run excellent and it's seems simple compared to Peps. I had a peps rep in one day and he was trying to compare the two(MC)either he was uneducated w/peps or just plain lost when it came to multiaxis and the agie 3d setup really through him for a loop. Also, apples for apples we ran the Agie up against Sodick, Fanuc, Mits, & Charmille and Agie repeated every time within tolerance +-.00008, when we were looking to get into wire. I need to be surf fishing......

A couple of years back somebody had place a solid model of a kurt vise on the ftp site. Just curious if it's still there and if anybody knows the file name. I searched earlier but couldn't find anything.

I agree, but if the solid wasn't made in Mastercam, how would it know about the cuts. In the solid ops menu it shows only one complete body. The idea about the curves should help though. Thanks

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY WHEN I SELECT BOUNDING BOX ON A SOLID MODEL IT OFFSETS THE BOX IN Z - & +, X AND Y ALWAYS COME OUT CORRECT. I HAVE ALL EXPAND SETTINGS SET TO 0.00 IN X, Y, & Z. THE FILES ARE IMPROTED PARASOLD AND IGS FILES. I'M RUNNING VER 9.2 MILL LEVEL 3, WIRE LEV 2 & SOLIDS VER 9. I USUALLY JUST TRANSLATE THE TOP & BOTTOM FRAMES TO THE CORRECT LOCATIONS IN Z, BUT THIS IS BECOMING A HASSEL TO DO ESPECIALLY WHEN i'M NOT REQUESTING AN OFFSET FOR THE BOX. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

ON Version 8.1 there ws no problems, also make sure that the parasolid converter version matches what MC can read also. I have V9 now but don't use solids anymore..

How do I modify the Fanuc Lathe post to output this format correctly. It's placing a decimal place when my control does not require it. Control is a Fanuc 21-t.

WHEN I DO A TOOLPATH (CONTOUR, POCKET, ETC.) HOW DO i GET RID OF THE LINES WHEN I GO TO ADD MORE TOOLPATHS. I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM IN VER 8. S O WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Does anybody have a normal post for V9 Fanuc control. The controls I have would be a 18-t and a 21-t. I'm at the end of my ropes and broke from buying this software that to me I feel I am still a beta tester? Madlp would be greatly appreciated.

I Get different results on 4 different computers, they all have diff video setups on them. This is becoming a real pain with version 9.

Can't say much for their grinders but, a mold shop in Jersey just bought 2 VMC about a year ago and loves them. All his other equipment are HAAS, personally keep the money in this country if at all you can.

Greg, Is there also a problem with the Veryify running also. Mastercam seems to lock up & freeze everytime I try and verify something. BTW, how soo will this patch be out?
