  1. I have a fairly complex program I wrote for our Kitamura. Once we loaded it, we realized we are going to have to index A90 instead of A-90. Is there an easy way to flip this in Mastercam?
  2. Can anyone check out my file and give me some guidance on creating a 3D toolpath? It would be for a Hurco VMX42SRTi with 4th axis head. I already have a toolpath that follows contour, but I think I will get a better engrave by keeping tool tangent to curve. Post-IT Housing IkII.mcam
  3. Can someone show me how to extrude this geometry?! It is driving me crazy! Post-IT Housing III.mcam
  4. Trying to get a wire contour (Sodick or Seibu) for the attached profile. For reasons unknown to me, I can't get it to come out right. It doesn't like the "T" geometry, and I can't get it changed to major profile. Post-IT Housing II.mcam
  5. Clearly you didn’t take my advice to keep scrolling. LOL Why even post if you aren’t going to be helpful? Helping me pick some basic tool paths really has nothing to do with what mill I’m going to post it to. I can write a program for one of our Hurcos and post to any of our machines. I was looking for some general tool path/machining strategy guidance. Take your wise a$$ and find another thread to hi-Jack as you clearly are way beyond helping someone at my level. Everyone, please bow to the almighty Jparis.
  6. Can someone help me pick some toolpaths for this model? I am just learning 5th axis programming for our table table mills, and I want someone with experience to show me the RIGHT way to go about this to help build my knowledge base. This would be programming for mill ops only. Any help is much appreciated. A lot of guys on here are pretty quick to judge someone who is inexperienced, so those of you that way....please keep scrolling. RWP-004.mcam
  7. I have some STEP files from Haimer's website of tool holders we purchased, and I want to figure out how to import those files into an existing, custom tool library in Mastercam. How can I do that?
  8. How do I add names to toolpath operations. Not talking about toolpath group name. See screenshot, " First Step, Second Step, etc..."
  9. Are you saying not to run this file, though?
  10. Can anyone help me generate some toolpaths to mill this logo? I keep getting errors... I just want the logo to be a .125 raised boss on top of this block. Ughhhh. SCPM Logo THIS ONE.mcam
  11. Can you suggest any training resources other than Mastercam U?
  12. LOL, I agree! At this point, it isn’t an option. I appreciate your help.
  13. Okay, I somewhat have it where I want it. Only thing is, it is machining the same side twice on different sides. I want all sides machined except side facing bottom of vise. Can anyone help!? Logo Block.mcam
  14. Oh boy, quite the learning curve for someone who is teaching himself Mastercam! LOL Could you possibly de-bug my program and tell me why it is crashing? Thanks! Logo Block.mcam
  15. I want to program this for a 5axis Hurco VMX42SRTi. I have toolpaths generated for one side, but now I need to figure out how to have it do the exact same process on all other sides (minus the side facing the vise). Any help is much appreciated! Logo Block.mcam
  16. Dude, you rock! Thank-you so much. I love this place.
  17. Okay, that worked! Now how do I select the Boolean entity to get dimensions?
  18. How can I trace or obtain dimensions of where the two hemispherical shapes intersect? I am looking to have a template lasered out for our fabricators to use while cutting that area out of larger tank to cope the two together.
  19. Now, how in the heck do I generate spherical stock to verify? LOL
