I am trying to open "Rast2vec.dll" which, I thought came with the X4mu2 install disk. Any idea what the "Recompile and relink c-hook" means? Or how to do that?
recently installed x4mu2 and c-hooks come up with "incompatible c-hooks internal version number: recompile and relink c-hook" Any idea what this means and how to fix it? Thanks.
I am trying to accommodate a group of operators that like to use multiple work offsets G54,G55,G56…….etc. on their fixtures. I haven’t found a way to post a program that way other than writing 3 different programs and pasting together. I would like a tool to work on G54 location than move to G55 location and than post that way. Any ideas?
Thanks again guys for the feedback. Here's what we came up with. The 2ipm program was a 29min cycle. The step cut at 10ipm was 13min. We found if we ground a .030 chammfer on the tip of the profile tool it lasted longer and produced less burr. Step cuts was the winner.
Thanks for all the ideas guys. The plates are clamped in a fixture and I prefer the depth cuts method. To me the idea of wear on the tip is the same as wear on the flute. Isn't an edge an edge?
I'm trying to improve on the present approach of a full depth 3/8 ruffer at 2ipm, I can take two depth cuts and move 10ipm. Trying to convenct the 2imp guy is the road block.
Anybody have input on the best method to profile cut through sheet stainless .130-.25 thick? Would it better to run slow with a ruffer at full depth or take shallower depth cuts but move the cutter faster. There is some dissagrement between machinists in the shop. One side stating the tip will wear out on depth cuts the other stating the full depth method has to run too slow. Any sugestions will be helpful.
maybe that is the problem, it is not MR1. I will get with our rep and see if we can get the upgrade. In the mean time I have worked through the geometery issues but was just wondering why the ribbon looked different.
Lloyd, the picture you posted is great. my tool bar only has the 4 icons on the left, the other 3 are missing. Is there a way to customize the TB?
X is brand new for us, we are working our way through little by little.
Thanks,
Doug
I know there's a way but I can't find it. Using "X" I want to create an arc tangent to 2 entities. I see 1 ent., tangent to point etc, but not 2 ent. Help! I work nights and will not be able to read any replys til tuesday afternoon.
Thanks guys.
