help its been awhile since i have been here we just got a new machine at work its a haas st20y big bore cy with live tooling i know there are better machines but we have 3 other haas machines and they have been great no problems in 8 years we needed to step up to a machine that had a c axis with live tooling.ok heres the problem i am running x6 and the mpmaster machine def and mpmaster post witch has a few bugs in it i know that i have been editing the finished post but the more i get into the cy live tooling i see more issues i was wondering if anyone out here knows if there is a updated post for this machine or is the mpmaster the best starting point and yes i contacted my reseller witch was like pulling teeth he said they are so backed up it would be upto 6 mounths or more for them to look at it he said he could use a outside source but that would be alot of money please any help would be welcome thanks Jayme

I NEED HELP AT WORK WE HAVE LEVEL 2 MILL 9.1 WE GOT NEW DELL COMPUTERS WHEN I LOADED UP MASTER CAM EVERTHING WENT GREAT SO I THOUGHT. I AM HAVEING PROBLEMS WITH THE CURSOR I CAN HADLY SEE IT AND WHEN I WINDOW SOMETHING THE WINDOW DOESNT SHOW EATHER IT DOES WORK WHEN I MOVE THE CURSOR OVER A TOOL BAR BUT NOT IN THE DRAWING FEILD THE OLDER DELL WORKED FINE BUT NOT THE NEW ONE. I RELOADED MASTERCAM BUT SAME THING STILL HAPPENS IS IT THE NEW COMPUTER OR IS THERE A SETTING THAT IS WRONG? PLEASE HELP ME THANKS FOR ANY INFO JAYME A NEWBE

thanks guys all the help its nice to have a place to come to ask people questions at anytime of the day and get an answer back at midnight iam a night person and this helps i have a day job as a mechanic so i dont get to do macheing untill after work so haveing a after hours place to come for info is great thanks again ill be back with more questions in the near future

one more thing would i set cutter comp to countrol or wear for the haas to adjust cutter wear at the machine ?

ok i found it so is this right i can only turn off compensation with a finish pass for a pocket if so do i put a g41/42 at the beging of the post or at the begining of the finish pass just want to make sure

i do that but no change it works when i countor but not when i pocket

iam useing mastercam to machine a simple pocket om my haas i have no problem doing that but i want to adjust the size alittle and i cant i try the tool offset and it doesnt change i dont have this problem when i do a countor i just add a g 41or 42 then add a dia in the post works great but in pocketing there is no place to turn off compensation so i dont know what to do iam a new newbeee at this thanks for any help jayme

iam from lompoc calif its just north of santa barbara i just bought a HAAS TM1 with all the extras 4th axis probe system tool changer and all the rest of the stuff. couldnt help myself i just had to have it all lol lol lol i tryed the ftp site but nothing it says looking for files but never locates them if anyone can help me thanks

iam a newbeee here i havent been able to acesss the ftp area yet but iam willing to donate to this site to its great to have a place like this for newbeees like me
