  1. Installed the latest NVidia drivers - verify now works. HP Laptop - 8170w XP SP3 4GB RAM. Dual Display. Here is the NVidia number -186.81_notebook_winxp_32bit_international_whql.exe Turned Hardware Acceleration back on and it still works.
  2. Does anyone verify using a rotary with a rolldie. When true solid is on it will not produce the correct toolpath and even sometimes when I turn it off. Say you have six pockets, when you verify a pocket it will go the 60 degrees 6 times corectly. As soon as you verify the pocket with the pocket cycle or a contour, it makes no difference and a rolldie the rolldie will shift I am guessing 30 degrees and start cutting. This is reaaaalllly enoying since you can't see the final results. MX3MU1 Windows XPSP3 MCX Level 3 [ 01-21-2009, 05:29 PM: Message edited by: Corky Brown ]
  3. That is exactly my problem!! I will probably have to do the same thing. Make my widescreen my main display, which again is 1400 x 900 and my standard display, which is 1280 x 1024 - for viewing MasterCAM.
  4. I will have to agree with Roger. Having one monitor set to a different resolution is the problem. Either I go with both widescreens or both standards is the answer. Hmmm - I like plan A.
  5. Yes I do. Again, the probelm is, I think, in MCX. It will not "auto" recognize anything above 1280 x 1024.
  6. Yes I am. Maybe there is a shareware or freeware that works with the NView control panel, is out there someplace.
  7. FX-1400 With the the 91.36 Forceware (?-spelling). They are the latest drivers. The problem is the "Non" widescreen is at a different resolution. If I turn the 1916W down to the 1280 x 1024 it doesn't look very good.
  8. Greetings, I have 2 Acer monitors running MCX2. The main display is a Acer AL1916 set up to 1280 x 1024 and my second display is an Acer AL1916W which is set up at 1440 x 900 - which is a widescreen. I have MC open up on my Widescreen display, via the NVIDIA drivers. It will only open up to 1280 x 1024. MC has an 1280 x 1024 dot config. file. I am assuming that is the reason. Does anyone know a way to force it to open to the 1440 x 900. Intel Core Duo 2GB RAM MCX2 Maintenance Level 3 Mill.
  9. I have an Nvida 64 MB Graphics card in my PC. Originally I had a 256 MB Card. Using MC9 I had to use the 64 MB Card. Does anyone know if MCX supports different cards now.
  10. Installed the drivers from omeagdrivers.net. I get the same results. I maight email them to see if they have any recommendatons.
  11. Yes, I have turned down hardware acceleration to the very bottom - just before the card will not recognize the display settings. I will download those drivers from omeagdrivers.net and try them.
  12. I'm back! My old system was a 1.78 GHz P4. My new one is a 3.4 GHz P4. XP-SP2 2GB RAM. I tried the "stock" Intel card built into the system. The problem is it is not a PCI or AGP it is the newer PCI Express slot. Our IT guy here says it does not seem like the graphics card seeing as we tried 2 different cards in it and 2 different monitors. (The problem card is the NVIDA GeForce 6800). He is thinking that it is the higer end machine that is giving the problems. He says it seems like MasterCAM can't handle the higher end machine, I personally disagree. I am leaning towrds Avon's reply of the Quadro FX card. Has anyone experienced anything like this before. The root of the problem is my chaining arrows do not show up. Part of the arrow shows up and I get "ghosting" when I analyze a chain.
  13. I just went in and UNCHECKED the "adjust feedrate on arc", did a backplot - same thing. Did a regen and backplot - bingo that was it. What the heck is that "adjust feedrate on backplot" for anyway?
  14. Endpoints are checked. Still bad times. On the setup sheet. It gives me the same number. Is there something I should be checking in that to make it more accurate. My old computer was a 1.78 GHz machine. I whined to get a new one. It is a 3.4 GHz. After a new install of MC9.1 SP2 I can't seem to get all my settings corrected. Most are coming right along but others are bad. I am getting bad feedrates, something that was a thing of the past on my old system.
  15. I am using an 1-1/4" indexible end mill running @ around 2500 R.P.M - 34 I.P.M. I am using V9.1 SP2 Level 3 - No Maint.
