  1. Installed the latest NVidia drivers - verify now works.

HP Laptop - 8170w XP SP3 4GB RAM. Dual Display.

Here is the NVidia number -186.81_notebook_winxp_32bit_international_whql.exe

Turned Hardware Acceleration back on and it still works. smile.gif

  2. banghead.gif Does anyone verify using a rotary with a rolldie. When true solid is on it will not produce the correct toolpath and even sometimes when I turn it off. Say you have six pockets, when you verify a pocket it will go the 60 degrees 6 times corectly. As soon as you verify the pocket with the pocket cycle or a contour, it makes no difference and a rolldie the rolldie will shift I am guessing 30 degrees and start cutting. This is reaaaalllly enoying since you can't see the final results.

  3. Greetings,

I have 2 Acer monitors running MCX2. The main display is a Acer AL1916 set up to 1280 x 1024 and my second display is an Acer AL1916W which is set up at 1440 x 900 - which is a widescreen. I have MC open up on my Widescreen display, via the NVIDIA drivers. It will only open up to 1280 x 1024. MC has an 1280 x 1024 dot config. file. I am assuming that is the reason. Does anyone know a way to force it to open to the 1440 x 900.

  4. I'm back! My old system was a 1.78 GHz P4. My new one is a 3.4 GHz P4. XP-SP2 2GB RAM. I tried the "stock" Intel card built into the system. The problem is it is not a PCI or AGP it is the newer PCI Express slot. Our IT guy here says it does not seem like the graphics card seeing as we tried 2 different cards in it and 2 different monitors. (The problem card is the NVIDA GeForce 6800). He is thinking that it is the higer end machine that is giving the problems. He says it seems like MasterCAM can't handle the higher end machine, I personally disagree. I am leaning towrds Avon's reply of the Quadro FX card. Has anyone experienced anything like this before. The root of the problem is my chaining arrows do not show up. Part of the arrow shows up and I get "ghosting" when I analyze a chain.

  5. Endpoints are checked. Still bad times. On the setup sheet. It gives me the same number. Is there something I should be checking in that to make it more accurate. My old computer was a 1.78 GHz machine. I whined to get a new one. It is a 3.4 GHz. After a new install of MC9.1 SP2 I can't seem to get all my settings corrected. Most are coming right along but others are bad. I am getting bad feedrates, something that was a thing of the past on my old system.

  6. O.K. Another problem. As I said earlier, this is a new machine so all my old settings are history. I machine a simple pocket and the "Machining Time" says it is around 90 hours. In the real world it is around 20 minutes give or take 5. What is up with that.

    Thanks again!

  7. Thanks everyone,I got Half the arrows, I will continue to work on it.

Roger - the cards description is as follows:

MS-StarForce GeForce 6800 NVIDA GeForce 6800. I am downloading the "latest" drivers now. The description says it supports more opengl - yeah right!

  8. I am running a new system. It is a 3.40GHz/P4 2 GB of RAM. I am running an NVIDIA graphics card, it is a GeForce 6800/256 MB of RAM. The OS is XP SP2 also.

I am running MC 9 SP2. Whenever I chain something the arrows do not show up. I am assuming it is the settings on the card. If anyone has the same card, I would like to know the settings to get that corrected.

    Thanks!
