  1. Good day!
I am needing to connect a Siemens D802 sl pro to a LAN network. I usually use the RCS802 Software to connect only to a PC but it has limitations.
For example I need to be able to access the CNC control from two different PCs
How do other users of this control transmit data over the LAN?
    Do you use other software?
Do you use different RCS802 licenses?

  2. I need to bore 15" deep witha a 0,5" drill.

I think that the best way is to bore at first with a "long" drill to 10 inches deep. As a second step  i´m plannig to bore with an "extra long" drill from 10" to 15" deep.

Is there a way to programm in a standard Siemens CYCLE83 that the return from each drilling pass returns to the reference hight??

    This is just an example

    MCALL CYCLE83(10,-10,0,-15,0,-10.5,0,0.25,0,0,0.75,1,0,0.2,0,0,0.25)

  3. Thanks Benk, the problem is that I don´t have install MC9 any more. That what you wrote is correct. I will kontakt to my dealer thanks

LaszloK I try your sugestion but doesn´t work. Thanks anyway

    Another suggestion??

  4. Definetly steel and not cast.

    Actually my question is:

Another 20" Chuck user. ¿What spindle speed did you use?

I will take a half or 60% of this speed

I´know that this is not the right way.

I had a 40" chuck and in this case ia had as maximum speed 750RPM. But I never take more than 600. Even with the maximum weight I am everytime on the safety side.

    Best regards

  5. Sorry, Sorry is not a 10" (254mm) is 20" chuck (actually 500mm).

    I was wrong!!!

When M-CODE wrote 3200 RPM i saw that something was not ok.

    Now I repeat my question:

I get an used machine with a unmarked 20" Chuck.

I can not contact the chuck manufacteur because is not marked. (was market with a plate, but the plate is gone)

I´m now runing at max ss = 800 RPM

In your opinion.¿Is this to much o to slow?

    thanks

  6. The problem is that this chuck is not marked. I get an used machin and i don´t have more information. Of course i know that I will need a security gap. I want to know your opinion. Now I´m working with max SS = 800 RPM and works fine but i don´t know if this to high or to low.

    thanks

  7. For a standard steel 3 brackets chuck aprox 10" diameter (500mm).¿What did you consider as maximum spindle speed?

Of course I know this depends of the part size, weight, form and so on.

I want to know just an opinion for a standrd part.

    Thanks

  8. We use both ATI and Nvidia.

In my opinion in former times was a big differens. Nvidia works better. V8,V9.

Now I don´t see any differens.

Ofcourse a better ATI card works better than a not so good ATI card and the same with Nvidia.

But in the past the problem with ATI cards was with hangup and so on. This don´t happens now.

  9. I am MC user since V4. Now I get MCHLE and i saw the capabilities of Mastercam Art and I am really surprised. How ever I can not mill any part.

Now I am looking for do some decorations for my home with any software that I can use for free.

I am sure Mastercam Art is the best one but is out of my "home budget".

    Any idea??

    Thanks

  10. I try with two differents SIM´s

One X4 MU4 Lathe and doesn´t work but with an X4 MU4 Mill level 3 + Multiaxis works fine.

Is normal that the Design/Lathe SIM do not support Rast2Vec.dll ??

  11. Thanks koko.

Actually they are the same. Programed Feedrates and speed are the same than the machines parameters.

Actually I don´t "messure" the speed parameters in the machine. I can not be sure if the showed feed is different than the real feed.

But in this case I´m really far away of the reality.

Is there any parameter that could change the cycle time.

    Thanks

  12. I´m using MCX4 and I have some problems with the Cycle Time Caluculation.

I´m milling just a simply Contour but my Cycle time calculation indicates that the time will be 1 h 52 min but the real time is aprox 4 hs.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Is any parameter in the Mach def or in the post that could be wrong??

    Thanks

  13. Noop Tool Change doesn´t help.

Now I post the forst operation (before Flip)

Add a retract to the first operation

And post the second one. (after Flip)

Obviously the first operation is now wrong. If I had to change something in the first one and post again I had to modified before.

    Another idea ???

    Thanks
