Sorry, to clarify, are you suggesting moving the wireframe geometry that distance along the y-axis?

For context: Using Mastercam to laser cut this contour on a tube. Imported the flat pattern and then used axis substitution on the y-axis. Why does the expected toolpath show its linked straight like picture 1, but backplots like picture 2 with it spiraling all the way back around instead of just going straight across.
