I am trying to create a domed surface or solid. I have a rectangle with to circular pockets (inside of rectangle). I am trying to create a consistent dome using these entities that is 1/16” high. Please let me know if you can provide any helpful hints regarding this matter. Let me know if more clarity is needed. Thanks in advance James

Thanks for the help.... I actually created half the desired 2D ellipse and revolved a half of the geometry 180 degrees. I then mirriored that half domed ellipse, to create the full ellipse. thanks again

The ellipes dimmensions are 2.125"x1.0" and the dome height is 1/8". Thanks

Hello, I am verifying a set of roughing and finishing operations and I am trying to simulate a collision between my tool holder and part on the finishing operation. I have reduced the tool length and increased the tool holder diameter, to purposely initiate a collision, however the verify does not stop on any collisions (the stop on collision toggle is activated) and the finished part shows no gauges. Am I missing a command ????? Thanks in advance

I am having trouble importing an iges file. A prompt stating "Warning zero line length" appears multiple time throughout the importing process. When the import is complete, it seems that there is missing data. Are there any settings or procedures when importing iges files???? Thanks in advance..
