  1. yes how do I do that posting a file here I have never done that before
  2. it also happens sometimes when I create a new operation
  3. it happens when I open a old file that is not mcx8 the work around I have to do is to delete the tool and the operation together and redo it which is not a good idea I should not have to do that and it does not do it on all operation there maybe one are two operation in the program that it does it on and it is not always the same kind of operation
  4. I keep getting an error with mcx 8 that says no tool defined for operation I have deleted the tool and even deleted the operation and redone it but I still get the error anyone have an idea as to what is causing this
  5. when ever i import operations that i have saved mastercam duplicates all the tools if the tool is used more then one time i am useing x7 sp2 it did not do this in x6
  6. it seems kind of strange that they stayed docked before useing two different size monitors it seems to have stared shortly after i updated to sp2
  7. i am haveing a problem with getting my toolbars to stay docked where i want them the only one that stays put is the comand manager this started today in the past i had no problem with it keeping the toolbars where i wanted them i am useing two monitors i use a 22" monitor for doing my work on and a 17" monior to hold all my tool bars
  8. in what part of the regstry did you find them i do not rember if i found one for windows public profile
  9. no one can find that and the regerstriy says that they are on the computer but mastercam can not find them
  10. yes i have complet rights on this computer and i am not trying to force it to a network location it is looking for it on its own and i can not find an option in the install to tell it where to go
  11. i have tried both the cd and web download and get the same error
  12. it just went to our it department so they ould install the compny software i needed to have on it lice windows office and acad
  13. it has never been installed on this computer it in a new computer right out of the box and all updates install with out any problem
  14. yes i am installing the first version of mastercam 6 and using the x64 program
  15. i am having a problem with getting mastercam x6 to install on windows 7 when i try to install it says error 160 can not locate network ocation for mcam6 shared files all the reserch syas it is a regertery error but no one can tell me what we are looking for are hw to fix the problem i know that it work on windows 7 i have it installed on a laptop with windows 7 pro 64bit when we compare regitries from one computer to another every thing looks right and our it department is of no help so can some one help me asap thanks for any help that you can give we are about to get rid of this new computer and go back to what we was using but that idea does not suit me because the old computer just can not keep up
  16. when i change tools in a program in x5 itwill not update the speeds and feeds i have use tool number and speeds and feeds but will not change i have to do this manually and the is very anoying because some times i forget that part of it
  17. tried all the sugestion already i was hoping some might have come up with something that we ahve not tried yet the high speed would work if it would follow the contour as it went down and it rools out where it is needed to run stright for some reason when you tell it to slow down in arc feeds it does not read the inside turns no matter how big i make the rad.
  18. it is called bottom cap it is in the mastercam x file if some one can look at it and tell me an easy way to slow it down when it goes in to the cornners it would be apreciated
  19. the problem is tool brakeage we need to slow down when going into the corner the tool path editor would be good except for the time involved in editing that many passes we are unable to add a chamfer to the part i will try and put the part in the web site folder and see if some one can find a way to solve this proble for us will be calling it inside cornner
  20. we are useing x mr2 version of master cam the problem we have is making what i call a 90 degree inside turn is there any way to tell the tool to slow down when going in to a turn like this we have tried the arc speed but for some reason it will not see a inside turn as an arc it works fine when going around the outside of a turn i have looked thru all the post and can not find any help there.
  21. we have an old nc polaris post master cam will not even open it can some tell me who i can call about this post so i can see about upgrading it to work with mastercam the post that i have in mastercam will not work with our machine i have been trying for about 6 months now to get it to work and have called every one i could think of the problem is it is so old the company that made it i believe they no longer exist it was call nc microprducts if any one can help thanks our mill right now is mainly a big drill press because we can only hand program the post

I am useing mastercam x we needed to use cutter comp on a part we were cutting on a 3 axis okuma mill when i aplied the control cutter comp to the program the verify and post showed every thing looked ok but when it actually cut the part the compensation moved the tool over the distance of the radis of the tool so we wound up with an arc that came out way to large

  24. that is close to what i need but is there any way to keep it from going around the places that have already been cut also i have tried the point toolpath and it will give me exactly what i want but i have no way to control the speed and feed of the tool is there some way that i can control them useing the point tool path
