I have recently upgraded to Mastercam X3. I notice that occasionally I lose the ability to see chains I have selected for toolpath boundries. I have tried regenerating the screen (F3), but that has no affect. The only way that I have been able to reinstate the visibility of chain selection is to exit and restart X3.

I would like to take a moment to once again express my desire to see some of the old common parameter attributes. I really miss the ability to edit stock to leave and lead in/out on a global basis. Just my two cents worth.

the problem seem resolved. I did download the dll file, but it did not solve the issue. It appears to only be associated with one model. All subsequent imports have come in fine. this was an interesting thead.

I imported a solid from solidworks earlier today. I don't do this very often and this was the first time since I installed X2. That is the only thing that I can think of.

I just started having a problem importing IGS files. I import trimmed surfaces and edges from PRO-e 2001. It has always worked just fine until today. I am now getting some of the surfaces or none of the surfaces. the untrimmed surfaces are in the unblank buffer yet the trimmed surfaces are not on the screen. I get a partial retrieval of surfaces when I first launch X2 and then no surfaces after the first try. This was working just fine until today. I tried resaving the IGS from pro-e with no change. I am also getting an error claiming that there are entities being imported that are the same color as the backround. this is also new. Help!

tried that. Did not have any affect. this is behaving in the same manner on both of the computers that I use. There are different video cards in each computer. Might this be a software issue or a software switch that needs to be turned on.

I just installed X2 and I am experience a small problem whenever I execute a xform of any type. An image of the selected items remains in their old location in the display until I repaint. Didn't do that before. A small nuisance, but a nuisance, non the less.

Is there a way to turn this into a button?

I am looking for the old select results feature. I am not finding it.

How do I stop X from reverting back to the program number in the tool settings. I use the drop done to change the program number of a toolpath group, but the operations revert back as soon as I edit them

I am having difficulty figuring out how to copy entities to a new layer and leaving the originals on the the layer the started on. I have tried to use the technique I used v9. Translating selected items a 0 distance and selecting use attributes. For some reason X will not allow the 0 distance translation. I can use this old technique if I move the entities but then I have to move them back to where I want them. I must be doing something wrong.

Yes, that describes what is going on. Unfortunately I have updated both the computers that have X installed. There fore I believe that I am unable to find old versions of mcpost.dll and mp.dll. Any other Ideas.

Is anyone else having a problem with location of the information and content of the text lines in there posted CNC program file? Everything has shifted from the front of each tool to the end of each tool and the first coment line becomes the comment line for each instance of a coment line throughout the rest of the program.

I am experiencing some instability in the operation manager. I believe it has to do with the advent of the red insertion arrow. When I have a large program I like to place operations in a group so I can minimize the group to keep the display of operations managable. It seem that for inconsistant reasons groups will expand without being prompted to do so. Its seems to coincide with the location of the insertion arrow (although not always). the insertion arrow doesn't even stay put. I find this very annoying. I would like to shut down the arrow altogether if possible.

That is correct. They were all the same. rough passes that I wanted to convert to finish passes. I was able to alter the feed and speed, but not the stock to leave or leadin/leadout.

I don't want to appear abrupt, but I just had to edit over 50 operations. This should have taken a minute or two instead of 30.

Just because it was old does not mean that it was a bad idea. It needs to be reinstated.

Am I blind. I cannot find leadin/leadout and xy stock to leave and z stock to leave in the common parameters page. What was wrong with the old way that this worked?

I am having trouble with consistant behavior of the traditional window (Ctrl C,Ctrl V) cut and paste in the operation manager. In V9 cut and paste worked like clockwork. I am unable to get any consistant (therefore reliable) behavior using cut and paste. I know that I can highlight and right click drag and drop, but cut and paste was much quicker. The drag and drop requires more care because you have to ensure you select the correct (copy after) option. Select, Cntl C , locate, Ctrl V worked very nicely.

How far back would one have to go?

I am experiencing the same problem. It occurs when I am drawing an line and there are features that the autosnap latches onto as I pass over them. A white ghost image of the line remains until I refresh the screen. If a lot of endpoints are present a "fan" of white lines is created rather quickly. I have a ATI FireGL V3100 video card. I use a second computer of simular configuration but it has a NVIDIA Quadro FX 500 video card. I do not have this problem on that computer. Is there some configuration on the computer with the ATI FireGL card that I can use to aleviate this problem.

When you exported an operation. The tool information (especially custom geometry info)went with it. It appears that this is still the case now. but, in v9 you were still able to access that portion of the tool info and You weren't required to also save the tool. This is what I am lamenting
