  1. Hey guys, first time posting since I got this new job (over a year ago), but I have a question that isn't about mastercam. The programs our machines use have 4 digit names, the first 3 are designations and the last is the order of operations. Ex: 2153.nc, '215' is the designated program name and the '3' indicates the 3rd program used in the process. The problem I will soon run into is that we are running out of numbers. We will soon be using '899' as a program designation and our programs cannot have names that start with a '9' since those programs are internal to the machines. I was wondering, has anyone ever encountered this situation? I will try to use letters in the program names when the time for them has come. Ex: 00E1.NC. This is only a temporary solution since the only letters available to me that aren't used as commands in the G code are 'E' and 'L'. If I exhaust these, which won't be for a while, I will have to try using the other characters available of the machines (ie: &,@,?,#,=,+). If there is another strategy that I should try let me know. Your help is appreciated
