Yes thank you. That is why I am pursuing a machine as well. I was also looking into a machine at the time. They mentioned that it is easier to get the funding for the machine and MC then just MC. Check my thread in OT on Machine Purchase. A packaged deal if u will gonna have a few over once I put this together, and put a few cold ones back.

Yes I have too. Never go back unless I have to.
It was just getting in the groove of the new X2 or just X for that matter. What click to expect next to do and so on.
Love it now. Looking into my own seat now.

Hello everyone,
What I am trying to do is setup a way to network all my setting files. So, I setup a shortcut to goto my config. locally and in it all support setting files are pointed to the files on a network location. This way as I hop from computer to computer as we do here, I can just copy the backup copy (config) on the network to the local machine and I'm up and running. In shortcut properties I have "C:mcamxmastercam.exe mcamx-FLIPPER.config /s". Really what I would like to do is a path to the network location instead. so ALL my files are there and only a shortcut is saved to the local machines. When I try, it never works.
Is this possible.
Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,
When I have my model in outlined shaded, you cannot select the model by clicking on it as you can in just "shaded". Anyone else?

Hello again everyone,
Im messing with my post again.
Q:Is there a difference in the NCI file that would give me cancel cutter comp always when I want except for when ramping down a contour? Does the post pull from a different part of the NCI when ramping.
Thanks

Wow! Prosin. I don't hear that too often in this forum. A friend of mine had to switch to Hypermill and says he likes it. He was a die hard MC user in 9 and was moving to X. Switching jobs can do that. But how integrated with Cad packages like SW is Powermill? A few places I know of also want to switch to that software or are looking into it. Must be something to say about that. I would love to get a demo of it to see what all the buzz is about.
I'll look into it.
Thanks for the info.

Once again thanks for all your input. This will be very valuable in my meeting.

Very cool everyone. Thanks for the input. It really helps.

Yes the basic thing is a fanuc emulator mode with Format2. I like the format "E1-E10" workoffsets instead of only 6 "G54-59".
-
Fadal's Format1 vs Format2:
Anyone have an opinion as to why one should be used over the other in the shop?
Advantages?
Dis-advantages?
Your Opinion is needed.
Thank you in advance.
