  1. Thanks I didn't realize they moved it
  2. Hello, We just upgraded from v8.1 to v9 last week. In v8 when doing a 2d contour you could select cut comp left, right or off. In 9 I don't have the off option. I realize I can offset the geo,but is there an off option anywhere in v9. Thanks Paul
  3. Thanks again. We will try the cutters mentioned and also a smaller depth cut for starters. Paul
  4. Hello, We have to engrave D-2 steel, hardened to 58~60 Rc. Our max RPM on our CNC is 10,000 (unfortunately). We have to use a .020 dia.ball(.025 dia max),going .010 deep. Does anyone recommend any speeds and depth cuts. We have been using .8ipm 20000rpm(on an older/diferent cnc)taking .001 a cut. We were getting unsatisfactory results(eg: time and cutter breakage). The cutters were solid carbide mini cutters w/ mega-T coating, stub length. Any suggestions. Thanks, Paul
  5. I would like to thank you all for your help. We got it working. We downloaded the latest graphics card drivers and used the cncreg on the files you mentioned above.Changed a few display settings and we're in. Thanks again, Paul
  6. Thanks for your reply's. The other computers have different hardware: 256mb RAM,800mhz,Matrox Millenium G400 AGP(new one has Matrox Mill. G550 AGP).
  7. Hello, We have 4 Mastercam stations. And we have an application error when we try to open Mc 8.1.1 on our newest computer. It has WindowsNT 4.0 with service pack 6.0,512mb RAM, Matrox Millenium Display 32mb,AMD 1400mhz. When we try to go into Mastercam it says:"Dr.Watson for Windows NT. "An application error has occurred & is being generated,Mill8.exe exception:illegal instruction(0x000001d), address:0x690c7257" We've tried reloading MC. Our MC tech/rep says MC wasn't loaded properly. We've done it on several other computers, and have been using MC since ver 4 a number of years ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul B.
