anybody program w/comp in control. I have trouble with 2d chamfers. sometimes it will randomly cut the corner off or invert a radius. It doesn't matter if I create the geo or if I import it. most times I copy the 2d profile from my finish cutter and change the tool and operation to add a small edge break. the profile works fine but the chamfer doesn't follow the same path. in order to get the code how I want it I am having to revert back to v9 for the chamfer toolpath then I cut and paste
My question is pertaining to Drawing Standards. I have been making chips for ever and customer drawings are less than to be desired. Now with solid models it seems customers can't make up their minds as to what they want the shop to do. I am tired of trying second guess these second rate designers. Has anyone come up with any kind of current standards for everyday questions that everyday lazy machinist's have to deal with?
