thanks for the welcome. We're an injection molding shop that makes models from aluminum & steel as well as plastics. We also do prototype & production molds.
Thanks for all the input. It seems like a bug after reading all the responses. I've changed steps and tolerances only to have it gouge different areas. The final solution was to send it back to Mcam9 where it wrote beautifully.
I think the only times we've had this happen was with a flat endmill. Maybe that's the culprit???
it's happened in both MR1 and a system with just SP1. We've had this problem before as well. It's cutting right through a drive surface in the middle of it all.
This may be an old problem, but I didn't see it on the board. We're having trouble with surface rough pocket gouging. Different depth cuts results in gouges in different spots. Any help???
